This is probably old news to some of you - I have known about this for quite some time, but I thought I would share with those who have not yet seen the splendor of life in a box.
I give you 'The Loftcube Project'....
http://www.loftcube.net
Really though - how do you think you could handle life in a box?
I think it is a wonderfully clever little concept. I love the design and ascetics! The loftcube, to me, is as much of an amazing piece of art as all the other 'pretty things' that I admire.
The use of nature elements is very cool to me - Oh how I would love to have soft white pebbles make up the floor of my bathroom & a larger than average terrarium of sorts that I could command the rain to pour upon. :)
It really is clever - you should go visit the site.
Of course, something like this for my lifestyle is completely and utterly impractical. But if I were single with no kids, I would heart to live in one of these. This is targeted towards single business people in large cities, I assume. {or minimalists' with lots of extra money to spend.} These were first presented in Berlin in 2003 - if any of you know how the popularity of the loftcube in Berlin is going over, I'd be interested to hear.
What do you think about it? I could go on forever & keep rambling my random thoughts, but I want to hear what others think. ;)
P.S. This damn thing costs more than our house did! lol
I definitely love this. I currently live within walls enclosing less than 450 square feet, so moving into a Loftcube would be no big deal for me- in fact, it may actually be an improvement! The problem here is that everything in my apartment has a single use. Multifunctional things are a big player in saving space and money and that alone (eventually) would be worth it!
hey lady. next time you are on myspace will you log into the shop acct & delete the inksplosion banners please? i looked at the code but didn't want to screw anything up. xoxo
