I spent the last few days at my parents house.
{I didn't take many pictures, I know... I suck. }

Friday was just a lazy day spent at my parents house - well, lazy after the 3 hour drive to get there. The drive from central Arkansas to NE Arkansas is boring! I wandered around outside for a while, but found nothing worthwhile of a photo {other than my chucks}. Then I pretty much sat on my ass the rest of the evening watching T.V. - I watched the home design shows with my mom, it's one of the very few things that we can watch together.

Saturday was slightly more exciting. I had cherry cheesecake for brunch. Yummy! Later in the afternoon, while my mom watched Jade, I drove 12 miles to the liquor store. My parents live in a dry county in Arkansas and the closest place to get any alcohol is across the state line to Missouri.

The liquor store there was CRAP - they had nothing I wanted & everything was dusty. First I wanted to get Sailor Jerry, but they didn't have it. Then I thought I'd get a 6 pack of Hornsby's or some other cider, but they had NO ciders of any kind. Then I decided on stuff to make mojitos, but they didn't have mojito mixer {I was not about to attempt hunting for all the ingredients to make them from scratch}. So then I decided to get the stuff to make Tom Collins' - score, finally! Gin, mixer, club soda & maraschino cherries! I settled on the mid-grade gin they had, Gordon's. Tanqueray was too expensive & Aristocrat was too cheep/scary. lol. The bottle of Gordon's gin I got ran me about $11 and it was covered with at least 2 years worth of dust. LOL

Fastforward about 4 hours after my visit to the liquor store... my parents watched Jade for me that night & I went out to see 2 old friends of mine, Jake & Connie. I've known Jake since I was 16 - it seems like forever ago. We ended up backroading & I had a great time. Had not done that in YEARS!

If you have never lived in a rural area, you might not know what backroading is? Backroading is what people do for fun in the middle of nowhere. It's where you all pile in the truck/jeep/car and just drive around, the catch is that you stay on the dirt roads, never hitting a main highway or pavement & never going over 20 mph.
Drinking & other extracurricular activities are often involved. I do not condone drinking & driving, unless it is strictly on back roads & the driver is responsible.

So yeah - backroading! It was fun. I didn't take many photos, but there are a few below. I took a photo of a cute old water pump in the absolute middle of nowhere! Back in the day these used to be everywhere on dirt roads, but I guess it's a rarity now. The one we found didn't work anymore. :(

Then we went to an old cemetary - but we were not able to go into it because it was so overgrown. :( None of us were about to risk getting bit by a snake - Connnie said that the copperheads had been really bad, as in lots of them everywhere! I was frustrated I couldn't go and take pictures of the graves.

Fashionable? hats for sale in Moody, MO. - a store we had to visit Sat. night before backroading. I had not been to the 'Kountry Korner store' in 10 years! haha. Yes, that's Kountry Korner with a 'K'. I had to take a picture of these hats because they cracked me up. Namely, the 'Biker Babe' visor with spikes on the bill. And of course, you have got to have a neon orange hunters cap in the country. They were missing a camo one though, quite shocking. And ever country girl needs a pink bud light hat! lol.

HAHA - my cat is sleeping/dreaming right now and kicking his legs & doing funny things with his face. Silly cat!

Soooo - I got home early yesterday evening. Glad to be home - I need to be cleaning though. Jade was happy to see her daddy & Kitty Cat. Yes, 'Kitty Cat' is his name.

My lilies have bloomed out in the front of our fountain. I forget what kind of lilies they are. Daylilies?

I am having a HUGE problem getting inspired to do the blackkheart13 uber page. I just don't like anything I do. I need to get it finished ASAP though! Somebody just shoot me.

Don't drink & Wiki! I did some stuff for Clint Catalyst last night and I learned that Tom Collins' and Wikipedia do NOT mix. I'm a naughty girl. lol

OMG - the show Family Matters {that one with Urkel} makes it premier on Nick at Night on my birthday this month! hahaha. Mark it in your calendar - June 29th. Speaking of - I remember when actual OLD shows were on Nick at NIght. WTF happened?!?! It has gotten just as lame as MTV.

Well - Jade is demanding her yogurt - I have to get off here.
This has gotten way to long & silly anyway.
